The Environmental ChoiceM Program is North America's leading benchmark of environmentally responsible products and services. Environment Canada’s Environmental ChoiceM Program provides consumers with a level of assurance that the product bearing the EcoLogoM, ECP’s symbol of environmental excellence, meets stringent environmental criteria. The mark also tells the consumer that the manufacturer of the product has been audited by a credible third party. Started by the Government of Canada in 1988, the Environmental ChoiceM Program is one of many ecolabelling programs around the world rewarding products and services for their environmental leadership. To date, over 3,000 products and services have attained certification with the program. Rechargeable Alkaline Cells made by Pure Energy Visions Inc. are the only batteries certified to carry the EcoLogoM for environmental excellence in the ‘Rechargeable Consumer Battery’ category. How long will a XL rechargeable alkaline battery last?On initial discharge, a rechargeable alkaline cell behaves similar to a primary alkaline cell, except that it will have a little less run time due to the redesign necessary to make it rechargeable.
